The Sandman Vol. 1 Summary: Issue 08 The Sound of Her Wings

After succeeding in his quest, Dream sits on the steps, looking downcast as he feeds the pigeons. Then his sister, Death, shows up. He tells her about all that had happened to him, and she admonishes him, wondering why he never asked for her help.

Then they go on a tour of some sorts where Death collected several souls. One was that of an old man, the next a comedian, then a baby until they returned to the stairs. He and Death bid each other goodbye, and she collects her final soul for the day: Franklin.
